The word Tantra is derived from the Sanskrit root “tan” which means to increase, expand or stretch, and “tra” means to weave or knit together. Therefore it can mean that we expand as we come together, that we grow as we integrate.
Tantra is not intended to escape to heaven, but to bring heaven to earth. It is the unitary, non-dualistic vision, and from that non-dualistic vision, where everything is the same. Where God is everything, where God is above and below. Tantra does not reject or relegate this earthly world: Money, Pleasures, sexuality, dense emotions and our sexuality.
