Mariposa Alcalde

Founder of "Respira Tu Amor"

Was born into a spiritually focused Yogi vegetarian family in Chihuahua, México. Her journey began in fashion design in New York and expanded through extensive travels across 14 countries, deepening her spiritual connection and exploring ancestral plant traditions in South America.

In 2017, Mariposa became a certified yoga instructor, leading her to discover Tantra and Breathwork in Koh Phangan, Thailand. These practices sparked profound healing and self-discovery, inspiring her transition to become an intimacy coach. Embracing the name Mariposa, symbolizing transformation, she founded Respira Tu Amor Breathwork.

Mariposa integrates Breathwork, Tantra, and Yogic philosophies to foster spiritual awakenings and blissful states through global workshops and teacher trainings. Spiritually known as Mariposa Alcalde, she guides transformative Breathwork and Tantra retreats worldwide, creating sacred spaces for personal growth and intimate exploration.

Mariposa’s mission is to empower individuals to embody their inner wisdom and divine essence, fostering self-love and spiritual alignment to manifest personal transformation and joy.

FAQ

Q: How intimate do the practices get? A: At our events, there is no nudity or genital touching. Participants engage in paired Tantric practices in a respectful and tasteful manner. People decide their level of connection within the agreed boundaries of the space and with their partner.

Q: If I come with my partner, can we always stay together? A: Yes, during exercises involving touch or sensual energy, you can always pair up with your partner.

Q: As someone who is single and learning this independently, how can I apply these practices in my life? A: We focus first on cultivating intimacy with ourselves. By doing so, we naturally transform our external relationships and lives. You don’t need to have a partner or seek one to experience these profound changes.

Q: What happens if I feel unsafe at any moment and don’t want to participate in some exercises? A: We have a dedicated emotional support team available to assist you at all times. Additionally, there will be a designated area where you can step back, observe, and choose not to participate in exercises if you prefer. Your comfort and well-being are our top priorities.

Q: I don’t know anything about Tantra and I am a complete beginner. Is that a problem? A: Not at all! We welcome both beginners and those with advanced experience. We use tools that transform relationships from the inside out, making it accessible and enriching for everyone, regardless of prior knowledge.

Q: I’m attending alone. Could you explain how the paired practices, and what should I anticipate? A: We will equip you with all the tools to feel safe and rooted in your body, helping you understand your boundaries. During partnered exercises, you’ll be guided to tune into your body and explore what feels right in each moment, applying the techniques you learn. The level of intimacy is entirely up to you. Together, we’ll delve into deeper realms of playful intimacy.

Q: What is the usual ratio of couples to singles at this event? A: Typically, we have 70% singles and 30% couples. Among singles, attendance is evenly split between men and women, with slightly more women.
